Doula: A guide during pregnancy + birth that provides resources, guidance + emotional or physical support as needed.

My passion for the holistic birth world grows and grows every day. Nothing brings me more joy than being along side a mama + her family as she prepares to bring her new baby into the world. As a certified doula I am here to assist + help you navigate this season of motherhood as well as bring this experience back to its roots so you can confidently bring your baby earth side.

My support is unique for each mama. Before labor, my support can look like texts between mom & i answering questions she may have like if discharge is normal, what I recommend for prenatals, creating her birth plan, etc. Really there is no limit!

For example, yesterday a client text me asking for advice because of her restless legs & I sent her links to magnesium supplements she could try.

During labor my support is for both you and your husband. I like to help dad, if he’s willing, to best serve his wife/partner. I also can be sitting watching your breathing, helping you consider options that a nurse my share with you about your care, squeezing your hips or offering counter pressure to manage pain during contractions, getting you warm blankets, being a hand to squeeze, etc.

As your doula, I am the friend and birth worker to lean on and share this journey with.

“Emily is an all around amazing human being, and this line of work is PERFECT because it allows her to share her beautiful soul with women who need sunshine the MOST! 6 weeks after I’ve given birth (an extremely traumatic experience), and Emily is one of the few people who “get it” and continues to make me feel supported. Again- cannot thank you enough, Emily.”

So, so grateful for you, even if it didn’t go a stitch for how we planned.
— Katey (Feb, 2024)

Having Emily with us was genuinely such a weight off my shoulders. She stayed up with me,helped provide information as to what the doctors were doing/asking to do, provided pain relief by pushing on my hips with each contraction, kept my partner and I both calm throughout the whole process. All mamas need an Emily!! I will never give birth without her!

Thank you so much for the very special pictures. I will cherish these forever! They make me cry every time I look at them. I love having such intimate and one-time moments captured. Thank you also for my amazing doula experience. I can’t believe there was a point that I considered not having a doula at my birth. You took such a huge weight off my husbands shoulders and allowed him to be a husband/dad/support person. He’s expressed several times how glad he was that we had you there. I can’t thank you enough for the experience and help you provided. I really needed the reminders to relax my shoulders and take deep breaths. I also loved having guidance on ball movements and standing positions to start and work through contractions. I can’t put into words the gratitude I feel. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a part of my birth story!
